Phone review: Nokia N96

Since my N95 died (sniff), I’m trying out some other (Nokia) phones. First in line: N96. Verdict:It sucks. Less CPU-power than the N95, same form factor. Looks nice at first glance, but that’s where it stops. All keys are flat – no texture, no blind typing (something I found particularly useful with the media keys on the N95 – blind manipulation of play/pause/forward with the phone in the pocket). Camera subjectively not as good. More memory (32GB!), but that’s about it. DVB-H (?) receiver – doesn’t work for me in Canada or US.

Verdict: returned.
